    Job Summary

    The Laundry & Linen Services Manager plans, organizes, and directs laundry and linen operations across health system facilities. This role oversees logistics, equipment, inventory, sanitation, safety, budgeting, quality improvement, customer service, and staff while ensuring compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or healthcare laundry/linen services, preferably acute care or long-term care.
    • Previous leadership and direct supervisory experience required.
    • Advanced knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, linen handling, and equipment functionality/repair.
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and linen management software.
    • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, budgeting, and customer service skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Direct daily laundry, linen, transportation, and logistics operations.
    • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for cleanliness, sanitation, and patient linen handling.
    • Oversee equipment functionality, maintenance, repair, and safety programs.
    • Manage inventory and purchasing of linens, supplies, cleaning solutions, and capital equipment through the GPO.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
    • Oversee driver routes and ensure efficient linen delivery and distribution.
    • Develop and manage the departmental budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Prepare and analyze operational reports and present results to leadership.
    • Support business development and account management efforts to strengthen customer relationships and profitability.
    • Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; assist with employee counseling and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, The Joint Commission (TJC), and Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) standards.
    • Work directly with patients, customers, healthcare professionals, internal departments, and Director-level leadership.
    • Exercise independent judgment and make operational decisions with general oversight.
