CNC LATHE / MILL-TURN MACHINIST - NIGHT SHIFT OR DAY SHIFT

Schedule: Night shift and day shift openings, flexible hours. Night shift is the priority opening.

Pay: $35-42/hr, depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision machining job shop serving aerospace, defense, medical and microelectronics customers is adding a Lathe / Mill-Turn Machinist. The work is short run (typically 1 to 30 pieces), tight tolerance and different every day, in an AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified shop.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Set up and run CNC lathes and multi-axis mill-turn machines to produce high precision parts
• Edit programs at the control and prove out new jobs
• Select tooling and work holding, set offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds
• Inspect your own parts in process and at final using precision measuring tools
• Read blueprints, technical drawings and work orders
• Keep machines, tooling and your work area in good order

WHAT YOU NEED

• Proven CNC lathe or mill-turn setup and operation experience, job shop background strongly preferred
• Ability to hold tight tolerances on short run work
• Comfortable editing programs; full programming is a plus
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
• A steady work history
• Must be a U.S. person (work involves ITAR controlled technical data)

Clean, modern job shop. Machinists own their parts from setup through inspection and are encouraged to bring ideas on fixturing and process.
