Job Summary
Chamberlain Hrdlicka is seeking an Attorney Lateral Recruiting and Integration Manager to implement and administer the Attorney recruiting and integration process for the Atlanta and Philadelphia offices. The attorney recruiting process includes Lateral Associate and Partner-level recruiting. This full-time, exempt position is based in our Atlanta office and will work with groups and attorneys in the various offices. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
LATERAL PARTNER RECRUITING
Collaborate with Managing Shareholder and Practice Group Leaders and on the firm's strategic hiring goals
Serve on the Strategic Growth Committee to advise firm leadership on best practices and workflows for conducting partner recruiting
Enact and facilitate the lateral partner hiring process in collaboration with Practice Group Leaders, Managing Shareholder, and Chief Operating Officer
Manage communications with partner prospects in the pipeline including scheduling interviews, collecting financial information, soliciting feedback and managing next steps
Manage communications with partner prospects presented by search firms including negotiating fee agreements, administering and receiving the LPQ, and exit strategy/timeline
Engage and develop fruitful relationships with top search firms for partner placements, including researching new firms as they arise
LATERAL ASSOCIATE RECRUITING
Manage the Lateral Associate recruiting cycle from beginning to end in coordination with hiring partners and HR staff in the various offices
Research and source candidates through all available means (LinkedIn, social media, cold calling, etc.), while working with external recruiting agency submissions
Gather, analyze, and report market intel from multiple sources as needed
Facilitate and schedule interviews/callbacks with candidates and appropriate Firm personnel
Coordinate travel and lodging for out-of-town candidates
Manage offer letter process and assist hiring partners with offer negotiations
Join and participate in local and national legal recruiting associations (ALA, NALP) to maintain knowledge of policies/procedures relating to attorney hiring, orientation, and development
Build and maintain a network of recruiting contacts and vendors
Ensure all candidates have an excellent experience with the Firm throughout all phases of the recruitment process
Support the Summer Associate Program and law school recruiting as needed
LATERAL INTEGRATION
Design and administer structured onboarding and integration programs for incoming lateral partners and associates, in collaboration with Human Resources, IT, Marketing/Business Development, and Practice Group Leaders
Conduct regular check-ins with lateral hires during their first 90 to 180 days to monitor integration progress, gather feedback, and proactively address challenges
Facilitate introductions and networking opportunities to help new hires build internal relationships and business connections across practice groups and offices
Partner with Practice Group Leaders and sponsoring partners to track each lateral hire's transition plan and support client and matter portability
Coordinate onboarding logistics, including systems access, orientation materials, mentor assignments, and website/biography updates
Serve as the primary point of contact for lateral hires throughout the integration period to support long-term engagement and retention
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum of 5 years of experience in attorney recruiting at law firms or recruiting agencies is required
Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems like viRecruit, LawCruit, Flo Recruit, or others is required
Prior experience using attorney search software like Leopard List, Firm Prospects, Pirical, or others is required
Experience designing, administering, or supporting attorney onboarding and integration programs for lateral hires is strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree is required
Motivated self-starter with a strong interest in attorney development
