    Description

    Job Description: The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating laser machines to perform precision machining tasks. The Laser Operator will also be responsible for the set-up and operation of all necessary measuring instruments. The machine operator will be expected to work independently and use judgment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Essential Functions:·Set up and operate laser machines to perform various machining operations

    • Set up and operate measuring instruments to obtain precise measurements of parts.
    • Collects data by monitoring the quality of the parts being produced and the process performance of the machine during the operation of the laser machine.·Ensure that all operations are performed in a safe manner at all times and follow all safety procedures.·Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at one time (with or without reasonable accommodation).·Must be able to stand for long periods of time; must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to extreme temperatures (hot & cold), extreme noise & sound pressure levels & wet & dry atmosphere conditions.·Must have ability to operate equipment that moves parts in manufacturing; operating equipment that operates in different temperatures; operating in different environments; may need to work in confined spaces; must possess good hand eye coordination; hand eye vision; hearing; problem solving skills; manual dexterity; high school diploma or GED (required); or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
