We are seeking a skilled and dependable Laser Operator to join our client’s manufacturing and fabrication team located in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC Fiber Laser machines and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, quality control, and material handling.The Laser Operator will be responsible for accurately cutting sheet metal parts according to specifications, inspecting finished products, performing routine machine maintenance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.This is a great direct hire opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and efficiency and enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Operate a CNC Fiber Laser machine to accurately cut sheet metal parts according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Perform quality inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and accuracy.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities to improve production processes, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser-cutting equipment.
- Report equipment problems, defects, or production issues to management in a timely manner.
- Safely operate cranes and forklifts to move and position raw materials and finished products.
- Follow all company safety procedures when operating machinery and handling materials.
- Participate in training to develop and improve skills related to laser cutting, machining, tooling, and fabrication.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications- Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery, preferably CNC Fiber Laser equipment.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and quality inspection processes.
- Ability to accurately use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a team.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
Pay: $24.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience and skill
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
