Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator and/or High-Speed Turret Punch Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and be capable of setting up, operating, and optimizing machinery to ensure high-quality production.
Preferred Experience:
35 years of experience operating laser cutting machines and/or high-speed turret punch presses
Experience working in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret work travelers to identify material requirements and job specifications
Retrieve and run part programs from the system
Load sheet metal materials onto machines using a pneumatic crane and/or forklift
Set up and adjust machine parameters to maximize cutting efficiency and part quality
Monitor cutting rates and compare performance to specifications outlined in work travelers
Perform nesting and/or shake out of parts after cutting
Ensure quality standards are met while maintaining production efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret production documents and blueprints
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment (or willingness to be trained)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adjust machine settings as needed
