WSHB has an immediate opening for a skilled and experienced legal assistant in civil litigation and construction defect in its Las Vegas office. Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of Nevada experience in a legal assistant and/or legal secretary position in a law firm setting. Insurance defense is highly preferred. This position is hybrid and will require you to come into the office 2-3 days per week. Therefore, you must live in the greater Las Vegas area - no exceptions.Skills and ResponsibilitiesE-filing experience in Nevada, both State and Federal CourtFamiliar with Civil, Arbitration & Mediation procedures/filingsFamiliar with Clark County District Court, Justice Court (All Counties), Elko County, Douglas County and Washoe County Court procedures/filingsFamiliar with scheduling depositions with Court Reporting agenciesMaintain attorneys calendar by planning and scheduling zoom meetings, depositions, mediations, teleconferences, and travel arrangementsAbility to engage with attorneys, clients, vendors and court personnel in support of successful case workflowHave the ability to communicate with outside law firms to schedule depositions and other meetings as neededProof and finalize correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and prepare routine shells though macrosAbility to prepare and file pleading documents and discovery documents while consulting with the attorneyAbility to open and close legal filesHandle general correspondence between outside law firms, clients, and insurance carriersAbility to manage invoices for third-party vendors and processing check requestsRecord and track deadlines through docketing and calendar systemAble to provide support to multiple attorneysTrial experienceRequirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be a team playerExcellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projectsAbility to multi-task independently; self-motivatedProfessional and pleasant demeanorTime management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accuratelyKnowledge of Odyssey and eFlex e-filing systems and eDockets is a mustMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically in Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage, eDockets & ZoomSelf-starter with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced & team oriented environmentRequires the ability to work 40 Hours a week Monday-Friday – Hybrid position.BenefitsA competitive salary package, including the potential for bonusesInsurance including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and a flexible spending account#J-18808-Ljbffr
