Job Details

We are seeking a Landscape Maintenance Specialist for a temporary-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in the Central Valley. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of multiple properties through landscape maintenance, irrigation system upkeep, plant care, and general grounds maintenance.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small two-person team and should be comfortable working independently while supporting the overall appearance and upkeep of various properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes, and has experience with plant care, irrigation systems, and property maintenance.

This position requires travel between multiple properties using a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided for business-related travel.

Candidates must possess a valid California Driver's License, maintain an acceptable driving record, and successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities
Maintain landscaped areas including trees, shrubs, flower beds, decorative plantings, and common areas.
Perform pruning, trimming, planting, fertilizing, weed control, and general grounds maintenance.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation and sprinkler systems.
Monitor plant health and recommend replacement or enhancement of landscaping materials when needed.
Assist with seasonal planting projects and property beautification efforts.
Purchase supplies, plants, and materials as needed.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers when specialized work is required.
Maintain landscaping equipment and tools in safe working condition.
Travel between assigned properties and complete required mileage documentation.
Help ensure all properties consistently present a clean, attractive, and professional appearance.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, grounds maintenance, irrigation, horticulture, or related outdoor property maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
Working knowledge of plant care, shrubs, trees, and seasonal landscape maintenance.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift, carry, and move landscaping materials and equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
