Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape
Maintenance Laborer to join our landscaping team in San Antonio, FL. The
Landscape Maintenance Laborer will assist with the routine care and maintenance
of residential and commercial landscapes, including mowing, trimming, edging,
planting, mulching, clean-up, and other general landscape tasks.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in
quality work, works well as part of a team, and is willing to learn and follow
safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow,
trim, edge, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
- Operate
basic landscape maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, string
trimmers, blowers, and edgers.
- Operate
ride-on landscape equipment as assigned.
- Prune
and trim shrubs, hedges, trees, and ornamental plants as directed.
- Perform
weeding, planting, mulching, and general landscape bed maintenance.
- Assist
with installation of plants, sod, mulch, soil, and other landscape
materials.
- Remove
leaves, branches, grass clippings, and other landscape debris.
- Load,
unload, and safely transport tools, equipment, plants, mulch, and other
materials.
- Maintain
clean and organized work areas, trucks, tools, and equipment.
- Follow
instructions from the crew leader or supervisor.
- Follow
company safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment.
- Provide
courteous and professional service at customer properties.
- Perform
other general landscaping and maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous
landscaping, lawn care, grounds maintenance, or outdoor labor experience
is preferred but not required.
- Experience
operating ride-on landscape equipment, such as commercial zero-turn
mowers, stand-on mowers, or similar equipment, is a plus.
- Ability
to work outdoors in Florida#39;s heat, humidity, and varying weather
conditions.
- Ability
to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking,
bending, lifting, carrying, and repetitive tasks.
- Ability
to lift and carry landscape materials and equipment.
- Reliable
transportation to the company or assigned job site.
- Dependable
attendance and a positive attitude.
- Ability
to work independently and as part of a crew.
- Willingness
to learn proper operation and maintenance of landscape equipment.
- Valid
driver#39;s license is preferred.
- Bilingual
English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending,
kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Employees may regularly work
in direct sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, and other outdoor conditions.
Employees must be able to safely handle landscaping tools
and equipment and lift materials as required for assigned work.
Work Schedule
Typical work is performed Monday through Friday during
daytime hours, 6am – 4pm. Occasional overtime or Saturday work may be required
based on weather, customer schedules, seasonal workload, or project
requirements.
