The Accessory Technician tests, adjusts, troubleshoots, repairs, and/or overhauls core aircraft accessory components to manufacturer specifications, customer expectations, and Duncan-approved procedures in a clean and safe work environment with assistance as needed. In addition, this position accurately prepares and completes appropriate documentation.
Essential Job Functions:
- With minimal supervision, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, test equipment, and technical documents.
- Orders parts needed to complete the work.
- Researches, prepares, and signs off various documents, including updating work order status for record-keeping purposes, as required by Duncan-approved procedures, manufacturers maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations, with minimal supervision.
- Provides accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.
- Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

- Routinely lifts 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lifts 100 lbs.
- Reads small print
- Hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies

- Tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance
- Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and sitting
- Environmental:
- Tolerates working in noisy environments
Education and Experience:
- Accessory Technician I:
- Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred
- Previous mechanical experience required
- Accessory Technician II:
- Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year aviation component maintenance or related experience required
- Accessory Technician III:
- Associates Degree in related field preferred
- Minimum three years aviation component maintenance or related experience required
