Land Mobile Radio Specialist – DoD

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Land Mobile Radio Specialist at our client’s project in Warren, MI. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile government project with a highly respected company known for its great work culture.

Responsibilities:
 

• Support Motorola ASTRO 25 SmartZone Release 7.14 trunked system.
• Program and run emergency talk group reassignment and mutual aid talk groups when required.
• Process parts orders.
• Run parts inventory reports.
• Run stock subscriber reports.
• Schedule subscriber technical issues (batteries, Antenna, remote mic and malfunction issues). Schedule subscriber vehicle installation.
• Provide touch labor
• Provide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) programming and perform regular software maintenance, including patching and upgrades.
• Update software to ensure compatibility, security, and optimal performance, as well as applying patches to address known issues and vulnerabilities.
• Provide Tier II and Tier III

Qualifications:
 

• 3+ years’ experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred or have equivalent experience
   
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
• Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen.
