This position performs inspections related to grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, and infrastructure, while identifying violations, responding to complaints, and coordinating with developers, contractors, and City staff to ensure compliant development.What You'll DoInspect land development and construction sites for compliance with approved plans, permits, and applicable regulations.Conduct inspections related to grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, and infrastructure.Review development plans, permits, and construction documents before and during inspections.Identify violations, investigate complaints, and coordinate corrective actions with developers and contractors.Perform MS4 inspections of stormwater ponds, outfalls, and related infrastructure.Prepare inspection reports and enforcement documentation while collaborating with City departments, agencies, and the public.What you Bring to the TableMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or G.E.D.Six (6) years of experience involving soil erosion and sedimentation control, construction site inspection, and construction plan interpretation. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's Degree in a field of study related to the occupational field.Licenses or Certifications:Must possess a valid Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Level I B Certification.
