Land Analyst

We are seeking several Land Analysts with experience linking documents to the appropriate parcel(s) in GIS for a long-term project 'onsite' in West Houston.

" Anticipated assignment length: 2 years
" Work is onsite, no hybrid or remote schedule
" Anticipate 1st round interviews via MS Teams; 2nd round In-person/onsite

This position is responsible for the entry and verification of document data and tying agreements to spatial data (GIS parcels). Though primarily digital, the work may also involve review of physical alignment sheets and support documentation, as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:
" Review alignment maps to accurately identify different pipeline assets and associated surface ownership/grantor information.
" Categorize, organize, and file documentation in a manner consistent with the alignment map.
" Create connections between the digital document and the appropriate parcel data.
" Review document details in the land database system to ensure accuracy. For example, verification of Grantor/Grantee information, recording data, basic property descriptions, affected asset(s), as well as tract and provision details. Document types include easements, real property leases, deeds, and various other land documents. Update and audit land database as necessary.
" Plot legal descriptions, as needed, using deed plotting software, and identify the correct locations on associated as-built alignment sheets and GIS parcel data.
" Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
" Experience linking documents to the appropriate parcel(s) in GIS (required)
" Experience interpreting land related legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets and maps (required)
" Understanding basic terms in various land agreements as easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments (required)
" Understanding Metes & Bounds (M&B) descriptions (required)
" Land System software experience (any of the below):
" P2 iLandMan
" PakEnergy (formerly WolfePak Software)
" Peloton
" LandView
" LandVantage
" Gridlync
" Quorum (preferred but not required)
" Experience with Google Earth
