What They Need


Our client has expanded in the Atlanta market and is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager who will provide land acquisition and predevelopment oversight to our Atlanta division. This position will be based in our Atlanta office.  The Land Acquisition Manager will report directly to the Division President and other management team members as required. 

 

 


What You’ll Do


·       Analyze markets and current land positions to identify gaps and concentrations for future land acquisitions.

·       Maintain knowledge of market activities and trends.

·       Generate prospective acquisitions through land brokers, local contacts, developers, etc.

·       Review and present market data and analysis in evaluation of the feasibility of a potential project.

·       Initiate projects by identifying parcels, negotiating with Sellers, performing due diligence, preparing letters of intent, and determining viability for development.

·       Lead entitlement and annexation process associated with obtaining final approval.

·       Present before municipal bodies, homeowners’ associations, and landowners.

·       Negotiate, prepare, and present contracts, amendments, and easements to existing land contracts, as necessary.

·       Oversee consultants’ preparation of plats, permitting, and construction plan process as required per project and municipality.

 

 


What You’ll Need


·       Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

·       3+ years of experience in Real Estate Acquisition, preferably in the homebuilding industry.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

·       Experience with Land Acquisition in the state of Georgia.

·       Must have a vehicle, valid Driver’s License, and be willing to travel.

·       Strong people skills.
