Description

Our client in Painesville, OH is seeking a skilled Lamination Technician to join their production team. This hands-on role is responsible for fabricating fiberglass and composite components using a variety of lamination processes. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fiberglass and composite layup on hulls, decks, bulkheads, and other boat components.
  • Cut, measure, and prepare fiberglass, carbon fiber, and core materials for production.
  • Apply resins and composite materials using hand layup, vacuum infusion, and related processes.
  • Set up vacuum bagging equipment and monitor infusion and curing processes.
  • Trim, grind, sand, and finish composite parts to specifications.
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
  • Inspect completed parts for quality defects and perform repairs as needed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean work area and comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous fiberglass, composites, boatbuilding, manufacturing, auto body, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethics

Schedule: 1st Shift

Pay: $20+/hr based on experience
