Position Description:

Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates care for breastfeeding mothers. Responsible to the mothers she sees to provide the most accurate up-to-date information and appropriate assistance. Also responsible for educating the health-care providers to meet the needs of breastfeeding mothers throughout the organization. Furthermore, evaluates products related to lactation and share her evaluation with others.Qualifications:1. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana, with at least 3-5 years' experience as a maternal-child nurse in which good performance has been demonstrated.2. Demonstrate leadership skills.3. Prefer 4,000 breastfeeding consultancy practice hours.4. Prefer BSN degree or enrollment in a Bachelor's program.5. Board certification eligibility within the 1st year employment.
