    Description

    Will perform a variety of manual tasks that include performing manual tasks, as well as operation of various types of equipment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to be present at designated work site a minimum of 40 hours per week, as established by supervisor. Emergencies require 24-hour call. • Perform a variety of manual tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel, usually working in a utility capacity. • Transfer materials and equipment from one project to another or from one task to another where demand requires assistance of workers with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision. • Provide assistance with the alignment and movement of heavy construction equipment. • Direct truck drivers to dumping position. • Work on asphalt patching and paving crew, clearing, mowing, boom ax, and tin horn crews. • Assist with replacement of and maintenance of county road signs. • Other duties as assigned.

    Experience

    Must have ability to satisfactorily operate equipment, as indicated in essential functions section of job description.

    Education Required

    High School or GED or, less than High School Education with documented training directly related to the essential functions of the job. May accept three (3) to six (6) months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
