Laborer
About the Role
We are hiring a dependable Laborer to support daily warehouse and material handling operations. This is a hands-on, physically active position involving loading and unloading freight, moving and storing products, preparing shipments, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and comfortable working on their feet.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently
- Move products to designated storage areas using a powered pallet jack and other material handling equipment
- Stack and store merchandise in the appropriate locations
- Sort, pack, mark, and label materials and products
- Assemble merchandise and prepare products for shipment
- Check and count freight for accuracy
- Inspect products for damage or other issues
- Assist with physical inventory counts
- Assemble displays and complete specialty projects as needed
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse and work areas
- Assist with general building and grounds maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, labor, production, or material handling experience is a plus
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Ability to safely operate a powered pallet jack
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to read, count, and accurately identify products
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable and willing to work an assigned shift
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday
- Lift and move products weighing up to 40 pounds
- Bend, kneel, climb, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Safely operate and mount/dismount material handling equipment
- Work around forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment
- Maintain productivity throughout the shift
