We're looking for laborers for a short-term contract up to two weeks, and ending June 20th. The Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks under direct supervision. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, supporting a team, and working outdoors in varying conditions
Job Title: General Laborer
Location: Dekalb, IL
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lift and move materials as directed
- Load and unload vehicles
- Dig, refill holes, and assist with site cleanup
- Perform general labor activities as needed
- Follow directions from supervisors and perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must have 6inch lace up work boots
- 0–4 years of prior related experience
Work Environment:
- Physical labor is a major component of the role
- Must be able to handle objects weighing up to 30 pounds for most of the workday
- Occasional exposure to risks such as cuts, burns, or chemicals
- Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes
- Work is conducted primarily outdoors in a manual labor setting
