GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

SAFETY SENSITIVE: No FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED: Yes

  • This position is not a full-time City position but rather a contractual position with the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). If selected, you would receive all the same benefits as a city employee, excluding the City Pension Plan. You would participate in the CRA-sponsored 401(a) plan as a replacement.

Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of experience in a related field of manual labor.
  • Must possess a valid state drivers license and obtain a valid Florida drivers license within thirty (30) days of hire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes various manual, gas, and electrical tools and equipment in the performance of assigned tasks and maintains such for safe and productive use.
  • Performs daily preparation of assigned vehicles, related equipment, and supplies.
  • Performs minor maintenance and repair on city property as directed.
  • Cleans debris and refuse from city property regularly and in response to emergency cleanup orders.
  • Empties trash receptacles, cleans windows, bathrooms, or other cleaning tasks as directed.
  • Assists skilled personnel in construction projects and cleanup as directed.
  • Repairs and cleans water, wastewater, or stormwater lines/structures, responds to wastewater or stormwater backups, and re-sods construction areas.
  • Performs general maintenance of medians, guardrails, sidewalks, and streets.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
