Applicants must have reliable transportation.
The Laborer/Apprentice will assist carpenters and other members of the construction team while developing hands-on construction skills and knowledge.
Assist carpenters with various construction tasks.
Perform selective and rough demolition.
Install gypsum board (Gypboard).
Perform daily cleanup, including removal of debris, nails, screws, and other materials.
Lift and move beams, materials, and other objects weighing more than 100 pounds, as required.
Trench and dig using shovels.
Haul debris and construction materials.
Remove nails and other fasteners (denailing).
Stock and organize construction materials.
Protect units and work areas from dust and construction debris.
Follow and implement safety standards in accordance with the company's Safety Program.
Begin acquiring personal tools necessary to perform basic carpentry tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The Laborer/Apprentice will have opportunities to develop job-related knowledge, skills, and experience in:

Taping and texturing various finishes
Painting procedures
Applying stucco and various textures
Installing structural clips and straps
Installing shear plywood
Installing shear gypsum board
Installing all-thread anchors using epoxy
Installing tie-downs
Installing building paper and flashband
Flashing windows
Installing sheet metal
Applying caulking and sealants
The Carpenter will perform a variety of construction, carpentry, restoration, and repair tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
Perform selective and rough demolition.
Install all-thread anchors using epoxy.
Install gypsum board (Gypboard).
Tape and texture various finishes.
Perform painting and related finishing work.
Apply stucco and various textures.

Install shear plywood and shear gypsum board.

Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred for the Carpenter position.
Willingness to learn and develop construction skills for the Laborer/Apprentice position.
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to work in occupied properties while maintaining professionalism and respect for residents.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, standing, and working in various construction environments.
Reliable transportation is required.
