Essential Duties:
- Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products
- Receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all required inspections and certifications are completed for instruments and other lab-related equipment
- Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment
- Provide oversight and training for lab personnel to ensure consistent lab practices, safety compliance, and quality standards
- Assumes technical responsibilities including operating various laboratory and office equipment as necessary to meet scheduling demands
- Makes personnel shifts when necessary to accommodate fluctuating workloads
- Maintain lab inventory, including supplies, materials, and equipment needed to support daily lab operations
- Provides guidance to employees regarding pulling optimal samples from raw materials
- Checks and transfers data as necessary and takes steps to correct possibly inaccurate data prior to processing
- Conducts routine and random facility tours to maintain safety and proper regulations
- Maintains telephone communication with various agencies and individuals concerning status of samples
- Works closely with research & development team to ensure accuracy of samples
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field preferred
- EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred
- TRAVEL: 5%
- OTHER:
- Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Prior experience using ICP equipment
