Description
Laboratory Technician Pay Rate: $25 per hour - $28 per hour, W 2 Duration: 6+ Month Contract Location: Morrisville, PA
Summary:
Shift: 7am-3:30pm / 10am-6:30pm with possible overtime after training completed
Responsibilities:
Sample log-in into data management system in a timely and accurate manner
Sample preparation
Analysis of routine samples on GC instruments
Performing instrument maintenance as needed
Processing results and entry into data management system
Delivering/Transporting samples between labs as necessary
Cleaning glassware
Sample disposal and waste compilation
Inventory tracking and purchasing of supplies
Help implement 5S in the laboratories and work spaces
Complete safety training and foster a safe working environment
Requirements:
Capable of learning, understanding, and following SOPs to perform assigned duties
Ability to understand and follow safe handling procedures for hazardous chemicals
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other employees
Must have initiative and be self-motivated
Good verbal and written skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work under time pressure
Ability to change plans and work environment on short notice
Must be able to lift 50lb loads with the help of coworkers
Associates Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science
Minimum 1 year of industrial experience
