Job Title: Laboratory Technician Lv2
Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 4-Month Contract
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53225
Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-Hour Shift | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off)
Description:
Job Summary
· Perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, product quality, and manufacturing operations.
· Conduct product analysis, monitor laboratory instruments, and maintain accurate test records under intermediate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform quantitative and qualitative testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
· Analyze test results, monitor laboratory instrumentation, and communicate findings to internal teams.
· Perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting or repairs on laboratory instruments.
· Maintain laboratory records, databases, customer specification books, and routine reports.
· Support laboratory trials, food safety compliance, quality initiatives, and cross-functional activities.
Required Skills & Experience
· Experience performing laboratory testing or analytical testing in food manufacturing or a similar environment preferred.
· Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
· Ability to conduct routine product testing, analyze results, and accurately document findings.
· Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to follow safety rules, operating instructions, and laboratory procedures.
Desired Skills
· Experience with food/feed safety standards, regulatory compliance, customer specifications, and laboratory quality systems.
Additional Requirements
· 12-hour shift schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off.
· Food manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to temperatures of approximately 110°F and dusty conditions.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb, and crawl as required.
