    Job Title: Laboratory Technician
    Job Location: Louisville, KY
    Job Duration: 06 Months on W2

    Shift Timing: 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. as a start time for an 8-hour day. Overtime as needed.

    Job Description:

    The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring quality control testing is completed according to established procedures, with accurate and timely results entered into SAP. The position supports material release, nonconforming material management, laboratory operations, food safety programs, and continuous improvement activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Complete QC testing according to procedures and customer or R&D requirements.
    • Accurately enter testing results into SAP within required QC time windows.
    • Report out-of-specification or process-limit results to management in a timely manner.
    • Actively participate in the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) process, including data entry, assignment, investigation support, and closure.
    • Participate as a member of the HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety teams.
    • Comply with laboratory safety requirements and maintain good laboratory housekeeping.
    • Follow OSHA, EPA, and Bostik EHS requirements and safe work practices.
    • Prepare and manage samples according to laboratory procedures.
    • Complete required calibration, certification, and pre-use processes.
    • Perform sample testing using laboratory equipment such as viscometers, softening point equipment, Gardner equipment, and other applicable instruments.
    • Properly document, verify, and report testing data.
    • Review and report production data.
    • Maintain required records and retain management documentation.
    • Support plant equipment calibration activities.
    • Attend HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety meetings.
    • Conduct GMP and glass inspections.
    • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
    • Perform other assigned duties supporting Quality Services and related processes.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensure data accuracy and verification so that only materials meeting specifications are released for sale.
    • Complete testing on time to meet required release dates.
    • Communicate effectively when materials may not be released on schedule.
    • Effectively manage nonconforming materials and related process activities.
    • Maintain data integrity in all laboratory and quality activities.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Laboratory experience is required.
    • Associate s or Bachelor s degree preferred, with preference for Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
    • Basic knowledge of statistics preferred.
    • Ability to learn and understand basic statistical concepts(, including Control Charting, SPC, Cpk, Cp, and Standard Deviation)
    • Ability to self-direct work and processes.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
