    Geocomp's GeoTesting Express (GTX) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Soil Testing Laboratory in Elmsford, NY.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to launch their career in geotechnical testing. You will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment, advanced processes, and real-world projects that support site characterization, geotechnical design, quality control, and performance assessment.

    You will be part of a new team of laboratory professionals committed to delivering fast, accurate, and high-quality geotechnical testing services as we open our new laboratory location in New York.     Key Responsibilities

    • Perform laboratory testing on soils
    • Collect, record, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail
    • Assist with laboratory projects and daily operations as needed
    • Drive to project sites or client offices for sample pick-ups (company vehicle provided)
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment
    • Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and process compliance

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Organized, adaptable, and willing to learn new laboratory techniques
    • No prior laboratory experience required - full training will be provided
    • Valid Drivers license required for sample pickup duties

    Preferred

    • Coursework or exposure to earth sciences, geology, civil, or environmental engineering is a plus (not required)

    Physical Demands & Working Conditions

    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods at a lab bench or workstation
    • Laboratory environment: standard indoor lab setting
