We are a stealth-mode battery startup developing cutting-edge battery technology. Our mission is to revolutionize battery technology to accelerate the global transition to clean energy. By leveraging innovative materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and next-generation energy storage architectures, we are building the future of sustainable energy.
It’s not you, it’s us! We’re really excited about the potential of our technology, product, and mission, and have chosen to remain in stealth mode. If the job description piques your interest, please apply. If your skillset is aligned with what we’re looking for, the team will reach out to schedule your interview and tell you a bit more about us (e.g. who we are).
The Laboratory Operations Technician will support lab- and pilot-scale processing of advanced battery materials. This role focuses on material preparation, conversion, lamination, and prototyping operations using both hand and semi-automated equipment. Technicians will perform unit operations such as cutting, slot-die coating, lamination, punching, and laser cutting, while also supporting dry-room operations, electrolyte handling, and in-process quality checks.
This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow into shift leadership or supervisory positions as the lab scales into continuous roll-to-roll operations.
Operate and maintain laboratory materials conversion equipment (roll cutters, slot-die coaters, lamination presses, laser cutters, punches, etc.).
Prepare materials for prototyping, including mixing, laminating, and adhesion processes.
Support dry-room operations, including handling of solvents and electrolyte filling.
Perform in-process quality checks and record process data in logs and software systems.
Assist with equipment setup, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
Safely handle chemicals, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental protocols.
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to provide feedback on process performance and sample quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement in conversion workflows and laboratory operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
Hands-on experience with materials processing, conversion, or lamination equipment (e.g., printing, adhesives, composites, film, or semiconductor industries).
Experience in battery cell/pack prototyping is a plus but not required.
Ability to work in a dry-room environment and handle solvents/electrolytes safely.
Basic data entry and documentation skills; familiarity with software tools for data logging is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude with ability to support equipment setup and maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Onsite, hands-on lab and pilot line operations.
