Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Primary Location: Onsite, Lowell Arkansas
Position Type: W2 Contract, 8/24/26 - 12/31/26
Shift Time: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Overview
TalentFish is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory testing operations for our client in Lowell, AR. This individual will work alongside senior laboratory staff to process samples, perform basic tests, operate laboratory equipment, and accurately record and interpret test results.

What You'll Do

  • Process laboratory samples and assist senior staff with testing activities.
  • Build and/or adapt basic setups and test equipment for the performance of tests.
  • Perform tests using general laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Perform routine care of designated test equipment and maintain the work area.
  • Follow defined test plans, datasheets, procedures, and operational instructions.
  • Evaluate test performance and sample operation to help determine test results.
  • Record, review, and explain observed or calculated test data.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to communicate test results.
  • Examine test samples and read measuring instruments, including a tape measure .
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions.
  • Learn to operate basic tests for customer samples as instructed.
  • Communicate with customers during test setup and operation to support proper evaluation.
  • Operate computer systems to input and retrieve information and use available software.
  • Report test data and observations to engineers and laboratory technician staff.
  • Develop working knowledge of laboratory methods, instrumentation, systems, and equipment.
  • Apply continuous improvement concepts and techniques to daily work.
  • Follow all applicable workplace conduct, physical security, and digital security requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and other basic measuring instruments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory environment.
  • Ability to use basic computer systems and software.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Good understanding of laboratory information systems and laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $15 - $18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
