    Are you ready to contribute to cutting-edge research at the renowned Framingham Heart Study, located in the historic town of Framingham, MA? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and support the operation of our Biorepository. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, community-based research setting supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and administered by Boston University.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Organize participant biospecimens under the direction of the Biorepository Coordinator.
    • Track biospecimens through collection, processing, aliquoting, storage, and distribution stages.
    • Maintain accurate records associated with the biorepository inventory.
    • Scan barcoded samples into tracking databases.
    • Assist in biospecimen distributions.
    • Clean and maintain laboratory freezers.
    • Print labels for biospecimen processing.

    Requirements

    • Comfortable handling biospecimens including blood, blood products, urine, and other bodily fluids.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Access.
    • Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting.
    • Must be on-site.

    Preferences

    • Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
    • Familiarity with biorepository operations is a plus.
