Laboratory Assistant 1

Performs lab analyses (such as physical testing) of pesticide products, records observations and measurements. Relies on instructions and pre-established test guidelines to perform the laboratory testing that is required.

Location - Greensboro , NC
Contract Duration - 12 Months

Duties:
Performs research activities and other tasks as necessary, in a laboratory environment. Performs lab analyses (such as physical testing) of pesticide products, records observations and measurements. Creates reports and/or other documents using templates. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining laboratories and equipment. Performs various infrastructure tasks such as calibrations of balances, etc. Assists other laboratory colleagues as needed.

Skills:
General laboratory skills required. Must fully follow all safety policies and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established test guidelines to perform the laboratory testing that is required. Works with or without direct supervision, therefore must be able to work independently as needed. Previous experience with generating data in a US EPA GLP (Good Laboratory Practice regulatory standards) environment is desirable.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in science field (chemistry preferred).
