Description

Job title: Labor Relations Manager
Duration: 6 months contract
Location: Universal City, CA 91608

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Labor Relations Manager for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, experience in union contract compliance, and the ability to handle complex negotiations and grievances.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience
  • Proficiency with web-based databases and Client Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and organization
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and working with union contracts

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Advise internal clients, including management and human resources, regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and/or assigned topics
  • Advise internal clients regarding discipline of union employees, including just cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representation
  • Responsible for handling union grievances through arbitration phase as assigned
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for union inquiries and concerns; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses, facilitate labor-management meetings
  • Support and execute union contract administration
  • Support collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting as assigned
  • Provide training to HR and managers on assigned topics
  • Provide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed
