Job Details

Hiring a Labor & Employment Attorney to represent employer in labor and employment matters, including discrimination defense, wage and hour disputes, CBA negotiations, and grievance arbitration. This is a full-time, on-site role with full client contact and regular court and agency appearances.

Responsibilities

Represent and defend employers in sexual harassment/discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, CBA negotiations, grievance arbitration, and improper practice charges
Handle matters before PERB, NLRB, EEOC, NYS DHR, and NYCCHR
Manage litigation from pleadings through trial, including arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings
Advise clients on prevailing wage law, withdrawal liability, and labor law compliance
Negotiate and draft collective bargaining agreements
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs
Support general corporate and commercial transaction matters as needed

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in NY
5–15+ years of employer-side labor and employment experience
Proven experience with CBA negotiation, grievance arbitration, and agency hearings
Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills
Ability to manage a high caseload independently and advise clients directly

Details

Full-time, on-site
Salary: $150K–$250K+, based on experience
Bonus opportunities: $10K at 1,800 hours, $20K at 2,000 hours (target: 1,680)
Originations rewarded (15% credit) but not required
