About the Firm: A top-tier Am Law firm is looking to expand its Pacific Northwest presence by adding a talented Labor & Employment Associate to its Seattle office. The firm offers an excellent foundation for professional growth, high-stakes litigation experience, and a supportive, high-performing environment working with fantastic clients.

Position Overview: Seeking a mid-level associate with 3 to 5 years of employment litigation experience. This role involves working hand-in-hand with partners on robust defense strategies for single-plaintiff and class action matters, as well as providing proactive compliance and advisory services. Backgrounds touching on organized labor or union negotiations are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend single-plaintiff cases and assist in the management of complex class actions.

  • Recommend and collaborate with partners on case tactics and overall strategy.

  • Conduct substantial brief writing, draft discovery requests, and handle responses.

  • Argue motions in court and take/defend depositions.

  • Conduct internal investigations and interview witnesses.

  • Advise clients on complex employment law matters and the labor/employment implications of mergers and acquisitions.

  • Keep case dockets, deadlines, and project workflows meticulously organized.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm environment.

  • Bar Admission: Active license to practice in Washington (or licensed in CA with a willingness to seek immediate admission to the WA bar).

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, proactive follow-up, and superior proofreading skills. Excellent customer service mindset toward both clients and internal team members. Technical proficiency in MS Office suite.
