What the Role Really Is
This is a hands-on leadership role, not just administrative.
Operations & Leadership
- Manage daily staffing and unit operations
- Lead and support nursing staff (large team)
- Act as a bridge between frontline staff and hospital leadership
Quality & Outcomes
- Monitor maternal & neonatal outcomes
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and protocols
- Drive performance improvement initiatives
Coordination
- Work closely with physicians, admin, and other departments
- Support overall Women’s Services strategy
On-Call Responsibility
- Every 3rd week
- Mostly remote support, escalation handling
Requirements
- Recent (within 1 year) L&D leadership experience REQUIRED
- Charge Nurse
- Supervisor
- Manager
- Active RN license
- ADN minimum
- BSN preferred
