Description

The Labor and Delivery Manager provides leadership and oversight for daily L&D operations, leading a team of approximately 50 staff in a 190-bed, faith-based healthcare organization. This role focuses on clinical excellence, patient safety, staff development, operational performance, and sustainable growth of Women’s Services. The manager will partner with executive and physician leadership to expand delivery volume from approximately 30 to 100 deliveries per month and support the growth of the new Women’s Health Clinic. 

A $10,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible candidates who meet all required qualifications and payment conditions. Relocation assistance may also be provided for qualified applicants.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Increase L&D volume from the current 30 deliveries/month toward the goal of 100 deliveries/month through physician, community, and referral partnerships.
  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for Labor & Delivery and Women’s Services.
  • Build strong relationships with OB/GYNs, midwives, primary care providers, and referral sources to increase patient volume.
  • Partner with the new Women’s Health Clinic to create a seamless referral pipeline into Labor & Delivery.
  • Monitor delivery volumes, patient trends, market opportunities, and referral patterns and develop action plans accordingly.
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient experience, maternal outcomes, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

    

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years' technical experience: Preferred
  • One year's leadership experience: Preferred
  • Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
  • National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration: Preferred
