Labor & Delivery Manager - Actively Hiring

Role Overview

This is a nursing leadership (management) position overseeing the Labor & Delivery unit at a large acute care hospital system in Corpus Christi, Texas.

You would be responsible for daily operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and clinical leadership for women’s services.

Unit Details

• 19 Labor & Delivery beds
• 5 OBED (OB Emergency Department) beds
• 3 surgical suites
• ~80 FTE staff
• Part of a larger Women’s Center with NICU and GYN services

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit operations and staffing
• Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered maternity care
• Monitor clinical outcomes and quality metrics
• Hold staff accountable for policies, procedures, and standards
• Coordinate with leadership and hospital administration
• Participate in on-call rotation every 3rd week (covers phone/emergency support, not usually on-site)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• At least 1 year of recent L&D leadership experience (within past year)

This is important: they want someone already functioning in a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager-type L&D leadership role recently, not just general RN experience.

Compensation

• Base salary range:
• • $36/hr (min)
  • $51/hr (max)

Annualized (rough estimate):

• ~$75K to ~$106K+ depending on experience (before bonuses/differentials)
