Labor & Employment Defense Attorney Location: Philadelphia, PA Position: Hybrid Experience: 3-7+ Years
About the Role
A well-established litigation firm is actively seeking experienced labor and employment defense attorneys for its Philadelphia office. The firm represents employers in a broad range of employment matters across state and federal courts and administrative agencies throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.
What You Will Do
- Represent employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters under Title VII, ADEA, ADA, and FMLA
- Defend clients before the EEOC, PHRC, and other administrative agencies
- Handle wage and hour defense including FLSA and Pennsylvania wage payment matters
- Draft and argue dispositive motions including summary judgment
- Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
- Advise employers on hiring, discipline, termination, and accommodation issues
- Manage cases from inception through trial preparation and resolution
Who You Are
- 2-7+ years of labor and employment defense experience
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing
- New Jersey Bar admission is a strong plus
- Strong legal writer with practical judgment and client communication skills
- Experience managing an independent caseload with minimal supervision
- Comfortable advising employers on day to day employment matters alongside active litigation
