Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Fully Onsite)


Introduction:

We are seeking a hands-on Lab Infrastructure Technician to support the setup, maintenance, and organization of our lab environments. This role involves physical infrastructure work including server/network rack-and-stack, structured cabling, power installation, and coordination with facilities and vendors to keep lab spaces inspection-ready and operationally efficient.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in a data center or lab environment.
  • Proficiency in structured cabling — copper (Cat6/6A) and fiber (LC/MPO).
  • Experience racking, stacking, and cabling servers and network equipment.
  • Familiarity with PDU, busway, and power distribution infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and work from floor plans, rack elevations, and cable schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills — asset tracking, labeling, and inventory management.
  • Comfortable working in active lab environments with high-value equipment.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with lab environment management software.
  • Certifications in network or server management.
  • Experience with vendor coordination and management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Rack and stack servers, network gear, PDUs, and test equipment in lab environments.
  • Install, label, and manage structured cabling — copper, fiber (LC), and DAC.
  • Perform network patching on the switches.
  • Work with facilities on break/fix issues.
  • Escort vendors for routine Client inspections of the space.
  • Coordinate equipment moves, staging, and relocations across lab spaces.
  • Prepare labs for fire inspections (annual and monthly) — document, and clear required areas.
  • Secure and organize restricted-access materials per inspection requirements.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and storage areas.
  • Support vendors on-site during equipment deliveries, installations, and inspections.
