Join Our Team in Beech Grove, Indiana

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to become part of our team. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $21.75 per hour, with opportunities for overtime on weekends. The position requires working the third shift from Monday to Friday, 11 PM - 7 AM, with additional overtime options on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM - 7 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process finished product samples, perform analytical testing using both instrumental and wet chemistry procedures, and record results using computerized data systems.
  • Conduct daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
  • Maintain samples of tested products to confirm test results when necessary.
  • Document results of all testing procedures and promptly notify operations of any required adjustments.
  • Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Understand production processes and provide recommendations to operators to achieve product quality.
  • Perform light maintenance and calibration on all laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain ongoing records of testing procedures and input data into the computer daily.
  • Ensure adequate supplies for testing procedures and notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
  • Compare equipment readouts with standard samples to ensure accurate system operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, washing and storing equipment as required.
  • Foster an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
  • Perform duties safely, utilizing all approved safety equipment and completing all safety certification requirements.
  • Adhere to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and company standards and guidelines.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2 or more years of science degree.
  • Good attendance history and excellent safety record.
  • Proficient computer skills for lab instrument operation programs.
  • Familiarity with commercial software applications like Excel and Word.
  • Experience with lab documentation and operating standard lab equipment (e.g., pH meter, balances, spectrophotometer).
  • Strong math skills for lab testing calculations.
  • Previous plant experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven housekeeping and sanitation skills.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and accurate record-keeping abilities.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
