Lab Technician

Location: Ogden, UT
Pay: $18.65/hour
Schedule: Rotating 3-3-4 | 12-Hour Shifts
Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Bachelor’s Degree Required

We are seeking an experienced Quality Lab Technician to support quality and food safety in a beverage manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong scientific background, laboratory experience, and food manufacturing/GMP knowledge. The successful candidate will perform microbiological testing, product sampling, environmental monitoring, and quality testing while ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline

• 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing within a GMP environment

• Laboratory experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing setting

• Experience with microbiological testing and aseptic sampling

• Laboratory management or lead experience preferred

• Strong understanding of GMP and food safety practices

• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Ability to work a rotating 3-3-4 schedule with 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing and aseptic sampling

• Test raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products

• Conduct pH and commercial sterility testing

• Perform environmental swabbing, air monitoring, and water sampling

• Prepare materials and equipment for microbial testing

• Accurately document laboratory results and maintain quality records

• Assist with quality investigations and corrective actions

• Support daily laboratory operations

• Follow all GMP, Food Safety, Quality, and Safety procedures

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment

• Steel-toed shoes required
