Lab Technician II

Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience; hospital or STAT/core lab experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities: Testing: Execute waived to high-complexity tests in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and basic blood banking.

Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Lab Technician II for their San Leandro, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Testing: Execute waived to high-complexity tests in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and basic blood banking.
• Ensure Rapid Turnaround: Maintain strict adherence to rapid STAT TAT goals to support critical clinical interventions.
• Quality Control & Maintenance: Perform, review, and document daily quality control (QC), instrument calibrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Verification: Analyze, verify, and report patient test results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Communication: Immediately communicate critical or panic values to attending physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams following protocol.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards (including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA).

 
Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related biological science.
• Licensure & Certification: Valid CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience; hospital or STAT/core lab experience strongly preferred
• Skills: Excellent multitasking abilities, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a high-urgency environment.
