Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Durham, NC
Summary:
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
Assist with the operation of an industrial computed tomography (CT) scanner and complementary imaging technologies in support of medical product development.
Develop proficiency in imaging systems, acquisition techniques, and analysis methods used to support the company's product portfolio.
Potential for basic post-processing of imaging data acquired from CT and other imaging systems using Volume Graphics, Geomagic, Mimics, and/or equivalent software platforms.
Assist in documentation and creating reports of analysis findings.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team processes, laboratory operations, and overall team effectiveness.
Perform work in accordance with work instructions, company safety requirements, and quality standards.
Support additional laboratory and project activities as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in science or related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
Preferred Skills:
Experience operating precision imaging equipment, industrial machinery, or laboratory equipment.
Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or prototype development environment.
Experience with problem-solving.
Experience with CAD software and/or digital model review tools.
