Are you a passionate Lab Technician ready to power the physical foundation for the next age of exponential science?
Join Atinary Technologies and help us transform R&D from isolated, manual experimentation into a continuous, compounding engine for discovery. Our core mission is to scale Self-Driving Labs®: a new standard for R&D that integrates AI, robotics, and cloud software into a single, continuously learning system. By removing the bottlenecks of human-driven process speeds, we enable scientists to achieve a year’s worth of experimental output in a single week.
As part of our lean, high-velocity team, you won’t just be prepping samples. You’ll be executing the physical workflows that power the new age of scientific discovery.
Atinary Technologies is the pioneer of Self-Driving Labs®, a term coined by our founders in 2017. Our mission is to augment human intelligence with AI and robotics to drive a "Moore’s Law of Discovery"; exponentially accelerating the discovery of breakthrough molecules and materials for critical planetary challenges. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with operations in Boston and Lausanne, Atinary is a fast growing AI startup. Our team values innovation, collaboration, and agility.
As a Lab Technician here, your day is a dynamic blend of precise bench operations and high-velocity technical support. One day, you might be preparing reagents, loading samples, and running automated synthesis workflows for small molecule chemistry. Another day, you might be verifying reaction outcomes by processing 1H and 13C NMR spectra and/or LCMS data to close the loop between physical execution and digital analysis.
Our environment is built on shared ownership and operational excellence. You’ll keep our automated platforms running smoothly, managing routine maintenance, solvent refills, and waste management on reactors and analytical instruments to ensure minimal downtime. Other responsibilities may include ordering chemicals, consumables, and lab supplies, and maintaining chemical inventory. Whether you are performing system calibrations, troubleshooting liquid handling units, or enforcing strict safety standards, your work directly powers the physical engine driving SDLabs®, the Atinary platform.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
Hands-on Lab Experience:Hands-on Lab Experience: Demonstrated background in synthetic organic chemistry laboratories, encompassing routine sample prep, handling reagents, and setting up reaction procedures for small molecules. Requires 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory work (academic research, thesis projects, or industry internships are applicable).
Analytical Aptitude:Demonstrated background reading and processing 1H and 13C NMR spectra and LCMS data to verify reaction outcomes and compound purity.
System Operations & Maintenance: Ability to prepare reagents, execute routine workflows, perform system cleanup, and handle basic routine maintenance on analytical tools and instruments.
