Lab Specialist - R&D

Manage samples throughout the testing process: receipt, testing start, evaluation at required timepoints, retain/storage of samples when testing is complete. Tracks testing status, documents observations and results, and communicates cross-functionally for R&D, QA, and Package Engineering related testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D Lab Specialist I in daily tasks.
• Maintain and document testing status and results throughout the entire process.
• Manage samples throughout the testing process: receipt, testing start, evaluation at required timepoints, retain/storage of samples when testing is complete.
• Fill and assemble samples for testing.
• Support on additional tasks as needed.
• Ship samples to vendors and cross-functional partners. Manage the organization of international bulk standards and shipping of said standards.

Overview

Assists in the lab with routine tasks. Tests and evaluates beauty and home fragrance products to determine compliance with specifications and performance or packaging standards. Tracks testing status, documents observations and results, and communicates cross-functionally for R&D, QA, and Package Engineering related testing.

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Scientific or Engineering fields and/or related work experience in QA/R&D/Manufacturing or laboratory.
• Focus on detail.
• Follows instructions/standard operating procedures.

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• MS Office Suite experience.
• Organizational skills.
