    What We Offer:

    Location: Charlotte, NC | Providence Plaza Building 

    Department: Non-Acute Admin

    Shift: Full-time | Monday -  Friday | 8am - 5pm

    Work from home and travel to clinics in Greater Charlotte Market

    * Must have ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification

    * Valid drivers license required

     

    Our Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory compliance needs (COLA, JCAHO, CLIA) for waived and non-waived laboratory testing within NHMG Physician Office labs. Participates in problem solving, training, competency documentation. Acts as a liaison between reference labs, internal billing/coding and compliance to address billing/coding issues. Participates in quality assurance activities and monitors quality controls. Serves as a resource for NMG physician offices. Travel to clinics within the Greater Charlotte market, with occasional travel across markets required.

     

     Experience & Expertise:

    • Proven experience as a Clinical Technical Coordinator (or equivalent laboratory leadership/support role)
    • Strong familiarity with laboratory regulatory and accreditation standards, including:
    • CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments)
    • CAP (College of American Pathologists)
    • Applicable accreditation and compliance guidelines
    • Solid understanding of laboratory quality practices and compliance expectations
    • Ability to interpret and apply lab policies, procedures, and standards
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Five years, required. Clinical laboratory experience in waived or non-waived testing. Experience in the physician office setting with experience in laboratory regulatory requirements, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: MLT from ASCP or equivalent, required.
    • Additional Skills Required:
      • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age.
      • Self-directed, able to prioritize quickly.
      • Thorough ability to coordinate simultaneous job functions and to be flexible in response to fluctuating workloads.
      • Thorough knowledge and technical expertise in order to evaluate workload efficiency and accuracy.
      • Possess knowledge of skills necessary to operate all equipment as well as how to interpret and perform procedures in order to train staff.
      • Thorough ability to communicate effectively and professionally, via telephone, LIS and verbally in small and large groups.
      • Thorough knowledge of CLIA and other regulatory agency guidelines as well as other federal and state regulations (i.e. Medicare, HIPAA) related to laboratory operation.
      • Computer skills to include basic knowledge of Word and Excel.

    • Support staffing coordination, scheduling, and departmental organization
    • Assist with documentation, reporting, and operational oversight
