As a Lab Manager at Until Labs, you will be integral to the day-to-day operations and management of our cutting-edge laboratory environments. Your leadership will ensure that all laboratory workflows run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards, facilitating the high-quality scientific research and development that underpins our life-saving mission.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring an organized, safe, and productive work environment.
- Manage laboratory supplies, equipment maintenance, and inventory to ensure availability and functionality.
- Coordinate and support scientific staff and research projects by facilitating communication and resource allocation.
- Implement and enforce laboratory safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain laboratory documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety manuals, and experimental records.
- Support onboarding and training of new laboratory personnel on best practices, equipment usage, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including biologists, engineers, and software developers to streamline research workflows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and data quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, or Biomedical Sciences; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience managing laboratory operations in a research or biotech environment.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate across departments.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve operational issues promptly.
