Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience OR Associates degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience. Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies and laboratory housekeeping.

Duration: 36 months contract

Job Details:

• Provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories.

 Responsibilities include:

• Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies and laboratory housekeeping.
• Prepares various chemical solutions and media.
• Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies.
• Coordinates disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical laboratory waste.
• Records data and performs basic mathematical computations.
• Reviews temperature monitoring charts.
• May assist with special projects as assigned.
• Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.
• Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:          
• Customer service, knowledge of lab operations, computer skills.

 Day to Day Responsibilities:      

• Ensuring lab equipment is operational, supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Requests from team are addressed in a prompt manner, including work orders, etc.
• Facilitating lab clean ups etc.

 Skills:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
