ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking a highly technical Lab Engineer to support a Quality Engineering organization responsible for testing and validating complex payment and Wallet systems. This role will work directly within a large-scale lab environment containing hundreds of critical hardware systems and supporting equipment used to run automated tests every day.
The Lab Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the equipment and infrastructure required to keep automated testing environments operational. This includes everything from power supplies, operating systems, cables, and boards to hardware configuration and elements of the software stack. The ideal candidate is a highly adaptable engineer who can troubleshoot complex technical issues, work comfortably across hardware and software, and quickly determine the root cause of problems impacting test environments.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with complex systems and is comfortable being the person who can step into an unfamiliar problem and figure it out.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
As a Lab Engineer, you will spend the majority of your time managing and maintaining complex lab environments, troubleshooting failures from automated QE tests, and ensuring critical hardware remains operational and properly configured. You will work closely with engineers to understand why tests are failing, trace issues through the hardware and software stack, and implement solutions to restore functionality.
The role will also involve configuration management, scripting, system deployment and debugging, hardware integration, and physical system builds. You may be asked to connect systems together, replace boards or individual components, troubleshoot cables and power systems, configure software, or investigate issues deep within the infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with excellent organization and attention to detail. The environment can change quickly, so the successful candidate will be comfortable learning new technologies, working across disciplines, and taking ownership of problems from initial failure through resolution.
