The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, experience supporting Windows environments, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory, life sciences, or regulated environment. This role will support Windows-based computing systems, scientific instrumentation, laboratory software, desktop hardware, and related IT infrastructure.

Description:
We are seeking a Laboratory IT Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support within a laboratory environment. This role will support Windows-based computing systems, scientific instrumentation, laboratory software, desktop hardware, and related IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, experience supporting Windows environments, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory, life sciences, or regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for laboratory IT environments, including systems integrated with scientific instrumentation.
• Support and maintain Windows-based computers and connectivity within laboratory environments.
• Configure and support benchtop computing systems and related processes.
• Troubleshoot operating systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, laboratory software, and instrument-controlled applications.
• Perform computer imaging and assist with system upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage the onboarding, retirement, relocation, and lifecycle of laboratory equipment and computers.
• Implement and maintain Windows security configurations, including user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, and local security policies.
• Troubleshoot instrument-related computer issues and coordinate escalation to appropriate infrastructure teams when necessary.
• Serve as a technical support contact for scientific instrument vendors.
• Support new system validations and change-management activities.
• Maintain accurate inventories of laboratory equipment, computers, software, and other IT assets.
• Identify opportunities to improve the reliability and effectiveness of laboratory computing systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Submit weekly status/engineering reports and participate in team and client meetings.
• Serve as a liaison for hardware- and software-related questions.
• Maintain required training and compliance related to health, safety, security, environmental, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of technical experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 3+ years of technical experience, OR
• High school diploma/equivalent with 5+ years of technical experience.

Additionally, candidates should have:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand and respond to client needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting established deadlines.
• Experience supporting Windows-based systems and desktop environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with networking, remote computing, and backup systems.
• Experience supporting scientific or laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience working in a life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or laboratory environment.
• Experience working in a validated environment.
• Familiarity with GxP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments.
• Experience supporting instrument-controlled software and laboratory computer systems.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This is an onsite position in Seattle, WA.
• Must be comfortable working in a laboratory or controlled environment and wearing required PPE, including lab coats and safety glasses.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where timely completion of work is important.
• May need to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Ability to move between laboratories, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite.
• Regularly operate instruments, tools, and controls, which may require bending, squatting, stretching, and reaching.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds, with potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• May encounter laboratory hazards including extreme temperatures, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
• May be required to handle hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
• May be required to complete medical clearance, respiratory protection training, and fit testing when respiratory protection is necessary.
