    Join Our Team:

    We are searching for a part-time Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist for our Central Lab located at 13303 Tesson Ferry!

    Opportunity:

    • Part-time opening
    • Monday - Friday, 6:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    • No afternoons, evenings, weekends or holidays
    • Not benefit eligible
    • Outpatient lab

    Day-to-Day:

    • Collect blood and other samples from a large number of patients varying in age and health status
    • Properly identifying patients, label each sample following lab protocols, and work closely with the lab to make sure that the proper samples are collected
    • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
    • Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team

    Who we are seeking (preferred):

    • The Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
    • Formal training which will probably be indicated by a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
    • Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy program is preferred.
    • Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
